Fast ForWord

Fast ForWord

Fast ForWord has been used in Dr. Leah Light’s practice for many years. As an audiologist with over 30 years experience in Auditory Processing Disorders, she knows when and if Fast ForWord is the right intervention for your child. Fast ForWord is often recommended by Dr. Light if she finds there is a temporal decoding deficit present. This is determined through our Neurodevelopmental Auditory Assessment.

Fast ForWord has been scientifically proven to improve language and reading skills. This program was designed by neuro scientists who wanted to target the root cause of learning struggles. Fast ForWord provides intensive practice and allows users to utilize their program for up to one year. Students from elementary school through high school can benefit from using Fast ForWord. Those who are learning English, struggling with reading, have Dyslexia or an Autism Spectrum Disorder have gained success from doing Fast ForWord because it adapts to each learners’ needs. The exercises done in Fast ForWord focus on specific reading or language tasks while developing other cognitive skills including processing speed, memory, and attention.

One of the reasons we love using Fast ForWord with our clients is because it can be done from home! Parents monitor their children daily as each student works through their specific Fast ForWord program. Each week a member from the Brainchild Institute team will email or do a teleconference check-in with parents to provide feedback on their student’s progress.
