Brain Gym Explanation

Brain Gym is a set of 26 movements, which facilitate learning by incorporating movements of the eyes, ears, hands, and whole body. Coordination movements engage the left and right hemispheres of the brain, which plays a vital role in learning. Brain Gym movements aim at improving the connection between the two hemispheres which can help children develop reading, writing, and math skills, as well as strength their memory and ability to concentrate and focus. Cross crawls are an activity we do daily at Brainchild Institute. Check out our friend, Jake, performing one of the cross crawl exercises! Saying criss-cross-apple-sauce helps every child to keep their rhythm while practicing cross crawls.
