Amanda has worked alongside Dr. Leah Light in various capacities since 2014. She is currently earning her Master of Science degree in Exceptional Student Education from Barry University. Amanda is our education specialist and is certified to administer the Gibson Cognitive Test Battery, Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE), Master The Code, Fast ForWord,and Lindamood-Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing and Seeing Stars reading programs. In addition to her education and experience, Amanda is pursuing additional training in the area of pediatric neurodevelopment. To start off 2020, Amanda began her journey to become a Core Specialist in the Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration MNRI® Method. She has completed the following MNRI® courses: Archetype Movement Integration, Dynamic and Postural Reflex Integration (twice),NeuroTactile Integration, Reflex Integration for Maximizing Brain Potential, and Visual and Auditory Reflexes Integration. She also is an Integrated Listening Systems (iLS) practitioner and has extensive experience with the Bal-A-Vis-X (Balance/Auditory/Visual Exercises) program. Amanda has worked with a variety of babies, children, and teens over the years with disabilities including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism, dyslexia, global developmental delay, and sensory processing disorder. She has made special connections with each of her clients through her warmth and kindness. Amanda has a fur baby named Bella who is registered as an emotional support animal. Bella frequently visits Brainchild Institute and serves as another therapeutic resource for our families. She loves people and her high energy pairs well with our clients. We are proud to have Amanda and Bella on the Brainchild Institute team.
