Diagnostic Services
At the BCI, we provide comprehensive hearing evaluations in addition to state-of-the-art, evoked potential testing to examine neural synchrony (synchronous firing of neurons) in specific parts of the brain. A battery of auditory processing tests helps us to examine how well the brain is functioning from the lowest levels of the brainstem, where sensory information comes in, to the highest levels of the cortex, where information is ultimately processed.
Tests presently incorporated in our evaluations include:
- Tympanometry
- Acoustic reflex elicitation and decay
- Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions Testing
- Auditory Brainstem Responses
- Middle Latency Responses
- Vestibular testing: VNG, EchoG posturography, primitive reflex testing, VEMP
- Routine audiometry
- Auditory Processing Evaluations
- Primitive Reflex Assessments and Interventions
